Pridely Pinoy: THIS WRITER

This blog is dedicated to all Pinoy Nurses across the continents.

So who am I?

I am a Pinoy RN.  The mouth (mind) behind this blog.

Like most of the RNs wishing for a great opportunity in and out of the country, who have tried to land a job in hospitals in this country, I wish to know more about my field.

I am a “newbie” in this blogging thing.   All I really want is to get updates, hear the thoughts of the many more graduating, aspiring, wish-to-do-that & have-done that RNs, and at the same way help fellow pinoy nurses get the information they need.

I have walked the blurry road of nursing career path for the past years now.  I’ve met a couple of nurses asking for the same infos on trainings, licensing, seminars, etc.   I guess, the supply for nursing information is too short that it couldn’t keep up with the demand.  It does not reach a lot of the nurses.  We all want to get better one way or another, and when you are taking the same nursing path as I am, you sure need lots and lots of those updates! Yes, update lang ng update (= pay lang ng pay?) while waiting for hospitals to open their employment doors.

I am taking a slightly different path now, becoming an entrepreneur.  I’ve always been one before and while taking my nursing education.  I guess, now though having taken some of the trainings and seminars in nursing and still unemployed, I have made a decision to hire myself. haha  I am proud to be a pinoy nurse (nonpracticing) even if I do not get to practice my skills taking care of an actual patient, I will always have the heart of a nurse.  My family gets to be my luckiest patients.   No need to go that far. ;-p

So many disappointments in this nursing career path I have taken.  I hope the new nurses wouldn’t experience going through the needle hole just to know infos, any infos.  Many are blessed to know much, but have chosen to keep the infos themselves (madadamot talaga!).  What I do not understand with these RNs is their lack of empathy and perhaps, sympathy, towards their fellow nurses.  Hello, ipagdamot ba ang information na dapat para sa lahat??? (bato bato sa langit, ang tamaan, di marunong umilag!)  NURSES should help his/ her fellow nurses!  Kayo din, pag gusto nyo na mag resign baka hindi kayo maka resign agad dahil wala ng papalit sa inyo… or baka pag kayo na ang nagkasakit, wala ng ibang mag aalaga sa inyo.

Sigh!

Thus, the birth of this blog site.  Soon, with prayers, I hope we can connect / bridge the gap to them (employees, institutions, clinics, hospitals, training centers, etc.).  Let us try to help one another succeed and not be as*h*les to each other please! (ang tamaan ulit, tang* tlga! nakailag ka na dapat this time!)

SO…Welcome everyone!
